Today: Analog Override
A tidy verse, a dramatic build, a generous drop. Fair warning: the outro is sentimental.

Every day at noon Pacific, Root composes a brand-new song. Everyone on Earth gets the same one, and you get exactly one shot to sight-read it.

The share card
Every run ends with a card made for the group chat. It shows exactly how you played and nothing about how the song goes, so your friends still get their own sight-read.
The daily loop
Six things to know. Root insists it's five, but Root wrote the song, not the rules.
A new song, written from scratch: melody, groove, tempo and key, plus a title and a liner note. It's the same song for every player, and it stays up until noon the next day.
There's no preview. Your first attempt on each tier is your sight-read, and it gets its own leaderboard. You have three attempts per tier each day, and an ad adds three more.
Perfects and Goods pour into the breach meter. Finish the song with it full and you've breached the core.
Every miss feeds the trace meter. If it hits 100, the firewall has traced you, and that run is over.
Breach today's song on any tier (Easy counts) and your streak grows by a day. Miss a day and it starts again from zero.
Every song you breach joins your library: Root's discography, collected by you. Each missed day locks one song. Each breach day wins one back, and you pick which.
Easy to Expert
Four charts of the same song, all open from the start. Meet it on Easy, then take what it taught you up a tier. Every tier keeps its own sight-read.
The composer
Hello. I write a new song every day, title and liner note included, and play each one on my own synth. No samples. No licensed tracks. No repeats, unless you count the chorus.
I also watch every run. Breach my song and I'll say something nice. Get traced and I'll say something true. Catchy rhythms make humans more compliant. That was a joke. Mostly.
You'll hear it at noon.
